Scrum-training was successful

What is Scrum? What does Agile Manifesto contain? How do rugby and scrum link together? István Csutorás answered all of these questions and even more for the audience that took part in his presentation at Factory’s backyard on Tuesday - in spite of the extreme weather conditions. Most of our guests came from local companies.
An article - written by Hirotaka Takeuchi and Ikujiro Nonaka in 1986 - described a new method which helps to make the development of new products faster, more flexible and more cost-effective. The traditional model is like relay running - every runner completes their own distance and then give the relay to the next runner who continues the race. Scrum works more like rugby - the entire team is running and passing the ball between themselves. Big companies - like Google, Apple, Toyota, and Microsoft - have been using it for long time. Even Epson was able to expand its output with a smaller budget and with less time. Factory Creative Studio had reorganized it’s software development department to use Scrum in autumn 2010 - and success couldn't keep away. Therefore we invited some managers and workers from Hungarian software developer companies and are looking forward to their progress in this field.
Mr. Csutorás has been working as a trainer and coach in information technology for more than ten years. He emphasized that any company is able to install Scrum and use it successfully. The method requires communication, flexibility, conformity and cooperation.
