Factory is going to do the redevelopment of startlap.hu

Factory Creative Studio Ltd., integrated communication agency and software development company from Szeged, has won the tender announced in the autumn of 2010 by the New Media division of Sanoma Media Budapest for redeveloping Startlap with the use of the PHP YII framework. Amongst the companies who have experience in international developments and programming high-load websites, Factory’s tender proved to be the best. Sanoma Media Budapest has called for three major tenders, of which Factory had also won the renovation of Startapro.
Startlap is one of the most visited media of the Hungarian web, 560 thousand people visit its homepage each day, generating more than 2 million page downloads*.
It is a great challenge for Factory to partake in the renovation of a website of such scale: a range of trendsetting technologies are to be built in, and the design of the optimal technical architecture requires constant research.
Hopefully the users won’t notice anything of the renovation, but the editors of Startlap will nevertheless be able to react much more quickly and easily to the user activity.
During the development the tender-winning company will achieve to connect to the existing systems of Sanoma, and will be providing data for the various participants as well. A challenge in this development is to link the activities of the editors and the sales department, and to make the appropriate reports and statistics. The task also contains the process of the optimized production of the page and programming the functions of the registered users.
