HBO visited to Factory

HBO Central Europe – which includes Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina – is one of Factory’s oldest partners, since 2005, with it’s headquarters in Budapest.

Our company is commissioned to communicate such series as True Blood, Tudors, Pacific, Boardwalk Empire and Spartacus regionally. Factory creates the related webpages, games, prints, the press and the outdoor press releases. Our creative team designs the electronic newsletters, sales kits, corporate and POS works, kits for ‘best of’-s and decorations for events and press events organized by HBO.
Factory even helps the company with it’s software development department: their electronic premier organization system was requested to be created by our team. This unique software – located in Prague and still checked by Factory – assembles HBO’s broadcasting offers on 8 huge TV-screens for an entire year.

Four colleagues – Mónika Wirth-Schreiber, regional marketing manager, Andrea Poczkodi, regional marketing and PR coordinator, Ádám Sviatko and Robertina Tompa, regional marketing interns - visited the Factory-center from the popular cinema channel to get to know our work processes and our newest projects. Our guests were guided by Zsolt Fábián, managing and creative director, and Eszter Nógrádi account director.

Spartacus presskit

We have made the presskit of Spartacus: Gods of the Arena onto HBO Central Europe order by keyart and brandbook. HBO CE will send it further to its countries, where our plans will be localized.

Christmas animation for HBO

We made a Christmas animation with music for HBO at the end of last year, see the link: http://www.hbo-centraleurope.com/christmas2010/.
The animation was created entirely at Factory's 3D department. The static version, which was sent in e-mail to HBO partners, was made by DTP.

Boardwalk Empire microsite for HBO Hungary

For HBO, 2010 was a year of monumental TV series with huge budgets. Besides 'The Pacific,' the channel produced their new series called Boardwalk Empire - which takes place in 1920 in Atlantic City, at the time of the american prohibition when decadence, cruelty and hidden booze flowed throughout the streets and within bars. The director is Martin Scorsese, the godfather of gangster movies, which was a proven way to success - the movie company ordered the production of the 2nd season after watching the pilot episode.
Boardwalk Empire premieres on January 10th, 2011 at 21:20 on HBO Hungary.
For the premiere, Factory prepared a spectacular microsite design with interesting information for the viewers - interviews with the producers, video teasers and downloadable wallpapers.
Interestingly, Factory created the microsite for the HBO's previous super-production as well: The Pacific.

International Emmy award for HBO documentary film

Alexander Nanau's film, Lumea vazuta de Ion B. (The World According to Ion B.), is about a homeless artist, Ion Bârlădeanu, who became famous for his collages. In 2009, his work was exhibited alongside Andy Warhol's and Marcel Duchamp's.
The film of HBO Romania is the first Central-European documentary film to be honoured by an Emmy. The film was also screened at more than 30 other festivals as a competing picture.
HBO Hungary congratulated for the Emmy with banners made by Factory. Congratulations!
Spartacus játék egyedi naptárért

A new quize was launched on HBO's website in connection with the series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Give one correct answer and you can be among the lucky ten who can win a unique Spartacus calendar. The calendar and the minisite of the series was designed by Factory.

On the launch day of the series c. HBO has published the website. The interface of the site was designed by our webdesigners.

The Pacific - New mini-series on HBO

In spring 2010 HBO is launching a new outstanding megaproduction. 'The Pacific' is a 10 episodes mini-series created by Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman, and is a sort of spin-off of the mini-series "Band Of Brothers". This is the first time when the date of the premieres in CE countries are this close to the original premiere in the US.
Based on HBO CE's commission, our studio has launched a big online and offline campaign for the premiere of 'The Pacific'. We have created a teaser-site for the pre-campaign, a forum, where the fans and viewers can discuss the show and a minisite which collects every important facts on the show and the cast. We got together videos, cast-bios, episode-recaps, many interesting features and questions and answers related to the brand new show.

For the PR support we have created a Press Kit with the regular CD/DVD labels, a booklet with an original design and the enclosing folder.

The campaign is supported with flash banners for both the teaser and the tune-in period.

Miss Plastic - Beauty of Scalpels

HBO Hungray's new own-production, Miss Plastic Hungary 2009 gives an insight about an unconventional beauty contest and tries to defeat stereotypes against women who had plastic surgery.
