The Little Record Shop Cartoon Contest
26. September 2011.
In the beginning if this summer we developed a microsite for The Little Record Shop Season 2, an animated webseries of ANIMAX Germany. The show's screenplay is written by Florian Simbeck, famous German comedian.
One of our most interesting projects for SPT Germany this fall was to develop a contest site connected to the Little Record Shop show.
Based on the hype around the series, SPT Germany came up with the idea of a contest for amateur graphic designers, who can create their own cartoon character, submit it to the contest and win awesome prizes.

The workflow of the contest is similar to the Sexiest Studentin contest of 2010, where college girls could apply for the title of 'The Sexiest College Girl'.
It really is worth to try and apply, as the prizes are really great - the first 10 winners will get a super cool Sony Ericsson Live cell phone and the whole first season on DVD.
The main prize of the contest is a trip to Cologne to The Little Record Shop's production company, where the character comes alive for a grand appearance on television in the last episode of The Little Record Shop season 2. Also the winner can dub his or her character, so it will be a double cameo on TV.
The development of the contest has three phases, and as the contest is not closed yet, we can't announce the winner character. Check out our website in late October for the 10 coolest characters!
You can check out the site here.
