09. May 2012.
Da Vinci Learning is one of the world’s finest knowledge TV channels, bringing true education, the best entertainment and personal inspiration directly to your home. At Da Vinci Learning, they believe that everyone is curious about how things really work and longs for the opportunity to be amazed, discover and to gain knowledge. This is why they’ve facilitated their own process of learning: education without effort, simply by watching TV. Viewers are playfully encouraged to participate in finding answers to thrilling questions.

No more dull TV watching. Da Vinci Learning’s mission is to turn television into a meaningful experience, every day and for everyone.

Factory was responsible for the on air, print and online rebranding of the channel and its section for children. We have redesigned the look of the channel starting from the generic and kids logos, through the on air IDs, sound design, online presence and print materials. Online rebranding has encompassed both websites – generic and kids – which have been localized for 8 countries each. The websites were built on the latest Drupal 7 platform and they synchronize EPG and videos automatically from the client’s own asset management system.

The redesigned on air look for children’s programs includes 10 channel IDs, new ad openers and closers, navigation elements and sound design. All assets are in sync with the generic look and fit into the world of curiosity and science by telling short animated stories of scientific analogies and similarities.

27. April 2012.
Factory Creative Studio won the creative campaign’s realization of “Popularization of renewable energy's and energy efficient solutions’ practical applications among the inhabitants of the South Plain”. The project is supported by the European Union. Our slogan is: Don’t feed the energy-vampire!

The purpose is to let the population know about energy effective solutions and renewable energy. By utilizing these methods, people can save money and also be more environment-friendly.

As part of the campaign, Factory is launching a website and Facebook site, designing a banner, putting up giant posters, enlisting newspaper ads, creating a radio spot, submitting TV advertisements, and spreading viral films. We will also organize nine road shows in nine different towns.

Pass-port project

20. April 2012.
With the support of the European Union, Maszk Association (Szeged) and Kosztolányi Dezső Theater (Subotica) started a long-term theatrical cooperation.

As part of the Pass-port project, three productions will be born: one about the life of a Serbian, one about a Hungarian’s life and about Szeged and it’s region, and the third will be a cross-section of the two previous. The performances will be featured in the Old Synagogue’s spring and summer program and on THEALTER’s summer program. In Subotica, Kosztolányi Theater will perform the productions.

Factory Creative Studio created the Pass-port project’s website – which is available at passport.kosztolanyi.org – as part of our Pro Bono. The web-visitors can find news and other information on the bilingual website. The website’s interactive forum offers the possibility for conversations which can have an effect on the productions’ topic. After a quick registration, anyone can take part in the conversations.

Conference for the 75th anniversary of Albert Szent-Györgyi's Nobel Prize award

20. March 2012.
Nine Nobel Prize researchers are expected to attend a major conference in Szeged on the 22nd of March, 2012, Thursday for the 75th anniversary of Albert Szent-Györgyi's Nobel Prize award.

Around a thousand people – the elite of international academic community will attend the conference, which is organized by the University of Szeged.

„The fact that the invitation to the conference was accepted by nine Nobel Prize winners has invaluable importance,” András Varró, science and innovation vice-rector of University of Szeged, told the Hungarian National News Agency. During section meetings, participants from all over the world will consult over scientific results which are of importance to the Nobel Prize winners. Among the participants, an estimated 10-15 internationally renowed researchers – who can receive the Nobel Prize at any time – will be present.

Péter Hegyi, secretary of the conference, added: Hungary currently has top researchers, who, with their results, deserve the most prestigious award. The chance of success is raised by the fact that the historical event is supported by the international academic community.

The most public part of the program will be when 27 young people will present the Nobel-winning scientists. More than 600 high school students and other invited guests will be part of the Youth Forum. Following this, they can ask those questions which they are interested in most.

It's a great honor for Factory Creative Studio to have created the website of the conference. Although our primary goal has always been – for the past 11 years – to find and nurture talents, we never imaged that we would stand next to an elevating event for the academic life of Hungary and Szeged, and that our company will be known around the word for our ProBono efforts in bringing good news for the University of Szeged, the city of Szeged and Hungary.

Factory Creative Studio is a Silver-level Sponsor of the event.

Factory assisted in the project-opening event of Knorr-Bremse

20. March 2012.
Knorr-Bremse Commercial Vehicle Systems Ltd. announced in March that they are building a new factory in Kecskemét, close to their current headquarters.
The investment – costing almost 5-billion Forints – has been supported by the European Union and it will be part of the New Széchenyi Plan. The amount of support is 1,2 billion Forints. According to the plans, the 2-year long project is going to start with the construction of the Research and Development Testing Lab. The economy-stimulating measures of Kecskemét's government ensure a suitable economic environment and support for the development. As a result of these measures, the government cooperated with significant market players – like Knorr-Bremse Ltd.

In his speech, Dr. Lorenz Zwingman, Mandated Leader of Executive Board of Knorr-Bremse AG emphasized the importance of the Hungarian division's activity in the Group. Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary dignified the project-opening event with his presence and a speech.

Our company took part in the event’s organization and management, and the event’s printed marketing materials were designed and manufactured by Factory. Knorr-Bremse has been our client since 2005 - Factory carries out the company’s BTL-communication. We are mainly designing and creating printed materials for the Kecskemét based company. Last year we also created a multimedia DVD – including a 3D animation – for Knorr-Bremse.

Photo exhibition supported by Factory

24. February 2012.
As part of its ProBono efforts, Factory supports civil organizations and artistic festivals every year. We have recently helped the photo exhibition of Richard Széman - which has just begun a country-wide tour. The photos were taken during the Week of the Winged Dragon (Szárnyas Sárkány Hete) Festival in Nyírbátor. The festival is organized on a yearly basis by our partner, Winged Dragon Cultural Enterprise (Szárnyas Sárkány Kulturális Vállalkozás), and the exhibition is by Ördögszekér Markets and Festivals (Ördögszekér Vásárok és Fesztiválok). The opening of the exhibition is in Pécs on February 24th. The event's official poster was designed by our graphic designer intern, Anna Pukánszky. The photos will be on display in Szeged during the University Spring Festival (Egyetemi Tavaszi Fesztivál).

John Lennon exhibition in REÖK

21. February 2012.
The John Lennon exhibition, titled "The Art of John Lennon", welcomes visitors till the 6th of May. More than 30 works of the ex-Beatles member are available. The drawings, graphics and litographies are from the collection of Michael-Andreas Wahle, a German Beatles fan. One of the specialities of the exhibition is a small statue of Lennon. It's a self-portrait, made from aluminum and wood in 1971.

There are also relics: for example one of Lennon’s sunglasses, a couple of discs, photos, posters and two litographies made by Andy Warhol which present the "meeting" of the two artists.

Factory's offline department has been supporting REÖK for years with editing, creating publications and helping with graphic works.

Multimedia DVD for Knorr-Bremse

18. January 2012.
We received a request to design a platform for introducing braking systems manufactured by Knorr-Bremse. We suggested a multi-media system, where visitors can learn about the structure of the braking systems built into vehicles and the components and roles of the sub-systems.

The 10 sub systems consist of 30 different elements and the elements are presented on a 3D truck, which includes the vehicle and also the trailer. The wires connecting the system components, electrical, pneumatic and signal cables are marked with different colors.

The DVD includes a company profile presentation, ten product presentations, five videos, and Eastern European and Russian partner-, distributor- and service lists.

The multimedia platform was made in Russian at first, and in the future we plan to make Hungarian and English versions as well as to update the product specifications.
